Helps You
Safeguard Your Business
MailDefender gives you complete
control over your email
infrastructure:
- Policies for actions (delete,
tag & deliver, quarantine)
against SPAM messages..
- Policies that enforce signatures
and legal disclaimers on all
outgoing mail..
- Policies controlling when the
daily and/or intraday reports
are sent out..
- Policies allowing or restricting
LiveArchive or regulatory
compliance access..
- Extensive blacklist, whitelist,
trusted sender and domain trust
lists..
No two users are alike, no two
organizations behave the same
way - and MailDefender embraces
that diversity by allowing
configuration and management at
every level. MailDefender
applies your organizations
policies on mail processing, not
ours.
You Decide
What To Do With SPAM
Many content protection networks
enforce their own policies
against incoming mail and SPAM
messages. With MailDefender,
system behavior is up to you. As
a matter of fact, filter actions
are configurable by the partner,
administrator, user and even
configurable down to an
individual email message.
There are three possible actions
that can be applied to the
message that is identified as
SPAM. Message can be deleted
forever, tag & deliver where we
just modify the subject but
still deliver the message and
finally quarantined securely on
our servers. The default setting
is to quarantine a message
because it reduces almost 99% of
the bandwidth and load on your
network and your server.
However, each policy setting can
be applied down to the
individual email address,
letting you and your users
choose what is the best policy.
For example, your sales@ alias
might be a lot more
SPAM-tolerant because it may
receive sales orders and you
never want to risk delaying mail
to it. On the other hand, your
individual mailbox should be as
sanitary as possible to reduce
distractions throughout the day.
Either way, you have a choice.
Finally, MailDefender is unique
in that it creates two levels of
SPAM - one being likely SPAM
where we are about 80% certain
that the message is junk mail
and SureSPAM, where we are 99%
sure the message is junk. The
two levels of SPAM allow you to
set the more appropriate comfort
level based on the likelyhood
that the message is SPAM.
Legal
Disclaimers Or Corporate
Branding?
MailDefender features a flexible
outbound signature system that
can be used for legal
disclaimers or corporate
branding. For example, UK
companies are required to list
their business registration
numbers on all outbound mail,
California CPA firms require
signature disclaimers as well.
Many professional lines of
business are starting to
introduce similar requirements
and MailDefender allows you to
simply attach a signature to all
outbound mail.
Signatures also provide an
excellent way to include
corporate identity markers, such
as unique signatures for the
entire company. These domain
wide policies are quickly
configurable and can be easilly
changed on demand without
changing server configuration or
installing third party software.
Convenience That Keeps Your
Company Safe & Productive
MailDefender policies are
enforced on the network
perimeter, before they ever
reach your organization. Because
you control all configuration
options from a web interface
that is secure and near
real-time, administration of
MailDefender and critical policy
management can be delegated to
less technical staff members.
Incorrect configurations can be
adjusted quickly without major
work on the server or testing.
MailDefender policies that
manage the mail flow can be
configured by the end users
themselves through a friendly
web interface. For example, what
should be quarantined as SPAM?
When should we generate the SPAM
reports? Who should have access
to the archives? All these
settings can be configured
without interrupting system
administrators or restarting any
services. Furthermore, savings
from control and correct
settings to productivity levels
alone are incredible.
